Xavier Award 2012

On 3 December 2012 in Barcelona, HMSM was the recipient of the prestigious Xavier Award 2012. On behalf of the school, Ton Stekelenburg accepted the award, which was granted as a sign of appreciation for the longstanding cooperation between HMSM and Turismo San Ignasi in the Master Innovative Hospitality Management.

Xavier Award
The award was named after the Jesuit priest Francisco Xavier, the patron saint of tourism, whose feast is annually celebrated on 3 December, which explains why ESADE Business School, the umbrella organisation of our partner TSI, has chosen to ceremoniously present the award on this day. The award has the shape of the Sagrada Familia, and symbolises the magnetic appeal Barcelona exerts on tourists.
