read moreMartijn was born in Nunspeet, the Netherlands. He studied Business Informatics (Master of Science, Utrecht University) and Decision Management (PhD, Business Informatics, Utrecht University).
In addition to this chair Martijn also hold the chair Future-proof financial at Zuyd University of Applied science, where he is part of the management team. In addition to his work for Zuyd, Martijn is also entrepreneur.

read moreArmand (Nuth, the Netherlands, 1966) studies Technical Computer Sciences at Zuyd University (BSc in 1989) and Business Administration at Maastricht University and Haus der Technik in Essen Germany (MBA in 2001).
He spent 15 years in various industries: electronic engineering, supply chain automation and the automotive industry. In various roles and at various hierarchical levels, he found his passion in innovation, collaboration and inspiring others. Bringing out the best in people to contribute to a better world, that's what drives him.
Since he switched to Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, this is what still drives him in his work as an educator and as a researcher. At the Research Center Data-Driven Hospitality, he applies data analytics to find new ways and insights to improve organizational processes and thus contribute to people's happiness.

read moreLuc obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at Maastricht University in the direction of finance and marketing. After graduation, he pursued a hospitality career and took on different positions within the luxury hotel industry.
In 2012, he started to combined these activities with a lecturer position at the Hotel Management School Maastricht. He made a full switch to education in 2015, following his passion to get the best out of others.
In addition to lecturing, Luc is responsible for all student challenges and case competitions the school is participating in. His student teams have presented on world stages, bringing home several prestigious prices back to Maastricht. The Masterclass program that he initiated, provides ambitious students the opportunity to further develop their skillset in projects that are fully supported and executed by HMSM alumni.
Since 2021, Luc is part of the Research Center Data-Driven Hospitality. Within the Center, he focuses on machine learning to optimize hotel operations, starting in the school’s Teaching Hotel and its related student restaurant. In this way, students are involved with Artificial Intelligence from their first day onwards.

Leo studied all levels in Gastronomy and Hotel Management in the Netherlands and graduated at the end as Bachelor in Business Administration in 1979 at the Hotel Management School Maastricht. In 2017 he graduated as Master in Science on Facility and Real Estate Management at Zuyd Hogeschool/Greenwich University.
After his graduation in 1979 he has worked in different positions on management level in the Hospitality industry. Since 1995 until now, he has his own consultancy firm for SME in the Hospitality industry.
Besides he works since 2011 as lecturer at the Hotel Management School Maastricht. His passion lies in developing and motivate people by asking questions and making them think, as well as setting goals and how to achieve them. Appealing themes are innovation, application of technological possibilities, such as big data, within the Hospitality industry. At the Research Center Data-Driven Hospitality, he applies the link between the practice and the research outcomes.
