International Projects

The demand for consultancy and training on the subject of hospitality is growing, both nationally and internationally. Naturally, we share our knowledge and experience with those outside of the Netherlands too, and do so proactively as part of our Hospitality International Projects concept. Countries we are currently active in or have been active in include:

China

In China, we are actively providing further training on the subjects of leadership and hospitality to young hospitality entrepreneurs. China is currently undergoing huge development in the field of hospitality. Our clients there are making grateful use of our experience and knowledge when it comes to corporate responsibility, leadership and gastronomy. We learn from each other by offering an executive programme to local catering entrepreneurs in Beijing and also by welcoming these entrepreneurs to our base in Maastricht (in the south of the Netherlands) and introducing them to Dutch best practices.

Georgië

The Free University in Georgia approached us for help with setting up a two-week hospitality / hotel management programme. The programme needed to cover aspects such as the customer journey, dos and don’ts in hospitality and hotel management, and also leadership in hospitality, attitude and conduct with a link to hotel management theory.

Rwanda

This project is a part of a larger development aid programme being carried out by NUFFIC (the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education) and Mott McDonald. We were asked to provide a two-week programme for tutors and staff at a hotel management school in Rwanda. The hospitality management programme at the school has been remodelled to become a competency-oriented programme. We provided the school with recommendations regarding the development of the curriculum. In addition, we supplied the tutors with guidance and allowed them to experience how they can implement this type of teaching at their own school. The focus was on what is expected of students and what is expected of tutors.

Spanje

A large employers’ association in Marbella asked us to put together a hospitality management executive course. This one-week management executive course focuses primarily on food service, leadership, hospitality and destination marketing, and social media. You can find further information on the Hospitality Innovation Programme page.
