Selection procedure

In order to apply for our international bachelor’s programme you will have to take a TOEFL or an IELTS test. These are tests to measure your command of English. For the TOEFL test you will need to have a minimum score of 550 (or 80 in the case of the Internet-based test) and for the IELTS test you will need a minimum of band 6 in order to apply (or a TOEIC score of 670 or a Cambridge ESOL score of FCE-C). You will have to personally arrange the TOEFL test in your home country. You can find full information about the tests, and locations where they can be taken at http://www.ets.org/toefl/ or www.ielts.org. The results must be in our possession before 1 June.

EXCEPTION: if you have completed secondary education in one of the countries included in the NUFFIC research report you don't need to present the results of a TOEFL or IELTS test. Instead, the level of your language proficiency will be assessed in a webcam interview (approximately 10 minutes) by one of the members of the School’s English Department.

Select

If you have correctly applied via Studielink, you will automatically receive an invitation for the selection.

Selection procedure

The selection procedure will take place in two stages. In the first stage we will invite you to reflect in writing on a specific statement (writing assignment). After the first selection stage, we will decide whether you will go on to the following stage. The second stage consists of a webcam interview with you, to confirm your motivation to study at our school and a caracter profile test. The interview will take no longer than 20/30 minutes. On the basis of all the outcomes, the selection committee will then take a decision.

For candidates who live in the Netherlands or are able to come to Maastricht, the international selection stage this year will take place on Saturday, 26 May 2018. Both stages will than take place on this particular day.
