The Hotel Management School Maastricht has a two-phase selection procedure. Make sure that you satisfy the admission requirements before applying.

Deadline for applications for study year 2018 - 2019

Applications for the academic year 2018-2019 open on the 1st of October 2017. Students can apply online through www.studielink.nl. The application deadline is 1 May 2018. The sooner you apply, the better your chances of being placed in your preferred intake (September or February).


No, students are not drawn by lot at the Hotel School.
We try to find the 320 best students from the large number of applications by means of a selection procedure.
If you have correctly applied via Studielink, you will automatically receive an invitation for the selection. Take a look at the selection procedure.


The first year of study will cost approximately € 7,800. This includes tuition fees, accommodation on campus (room and service costs), uniform and books. In the following year, the total cost will be approximately € 3,600. For a detailed overview of all costs, see our overview of expenses


  • The campus. You will have a small, furnished room with your own telephone, Internet, cable TV, refrigerator, etc. and you will be using the toilets and showers.You will also be using all sorts of services, such as the 24-hour concierge service, technical service, security, etc. Moreover, if  you were to rent a room in town, it would be at least as expensive.
  • Purchase of books: € 1,000. However, you will use many of these books in the following years.
  • The uniform. Kitchen uniform and a suit (men’s or women’s) for work as a host/hostess in the front office and restaurant departments, for example.

Yes. You will be living, studying and working on campus. We regard the campus as a training ground where you can develop practical and, above all, social skills. Here, you will learn to be tolerant and resourceful, to handle conflicts, and to be flexible and resilient. You will also stimulate and correct each other. But, most of all, it’s a lot of fun!
