Specialise your study programme
We offer you many opportunities to specialise your studies, to ensure it matches your own personal interests! In the third year you will specialise your studies by choosing a track of your choice. Whether you want to go into the hotel business, curious about gastronomy and the restaurant business, or are more interested in hospitality in a broader perspective, it's all possible.
You can choose from the following tracks to develop in your preferred direction:
• Hotel Management
• Foodservice
• Horizons in Hospitality
Each track comes with its own minors of which you have to follow one related to the track, the other one is up to you! This is the change to discover your future career path.
You can also decide to do a pre-master, or go on exchange to one of our partner universities worldwide.

Living on campus means building your network right from the beginning. You live with fellow students and make friendships for life. This is only the beginning of your network. Extra-curricular activities to stand out from the crowd
We offer several activities and programmes you can join during your time at Hotel Management School Maastricht. These activities are a great way to showcase your interests and personality. Especially if you are at the beginning of your career and have little work experience, it can boost your CV and make you unique!
- Excellence Programme
In this 20 week programme you get to deepen your knowledge about the hospitality business by working on an real-life business case, which you get to present to an industry jury at the end. You can also participate in international student competitions - Student Council
We have an active Student Council which represents our students in a range of meetings and in the Faculty Board and Participation Council. The board changes every six months. - Student Association Amphitryon
The student association for all students, which plays an important role in the social life of its members. It organizes many sports, recreational and cultural activities. The board of the association, which changes every year, is a valued discussion partner for the management of the school. The board is elected each year by its members.

You can apply for a start in September 2026 or February 2027 from 1 October 2025 until 1 May 2026.
