Together we give young talent a chance!
The Foundation HMSM wants to offer young, ambitious people with a passion and talent for hospitality the opportunity to study at the Hotel Management School Maastricht. Being able to study and develop your talents is a wonderful opportunity. An opportunity which many of us have had, but which is not available to everyone, or not available to the same extent. Thanks to the warm contributions from alumni, staff and everybody who feels connected to the HMSM, the foundation can help students from around the world to fund the studies. These donations have a huge impact. The stories show that we succeed in this.
An international mix of students is essential to optimally prepare all students for a future in a changing and innovative hospitality industry. However, for some foreign students the study costs are an insurmountable barrier. Especially for those from a less prosperous country.

Foundation derived from community
Alumni have sweet memories of their unique hotel school days. Many stay strongly connected with our institute after graduation. They are willing to contribute e.g. by giving guest lectures or facilitating internships and graduation projects. In recent years we have regularly received ideas and suggestions for financial support. We are now responding to this wish by establishing our own foundation for the Hotel Management School Maastricht. We are very proud and grateful that the initiative originated from our community.
Do you want to donate?
The world is constantly changing and the consequences for many people makes us realize the social responsibility of our institute even more. Dutch and European students still know where to find us. Their options for (starting) a study still seem good. However, this does not apply to everyone. We are particularly concerned about international students who do not have sufficient financial funds to study with us. Your financial support to the Foundation HMSM has an impact on the accessibility to and diversity in our educational programme.

Success stories
Since the start, the Foundation HMSM has realized beautiful large and small projects. With the support of more than 150 alumni and employees, we helped a Lebanese student in financial need and raised 25,000 euros to complete his bachelor's degree in Hotel Management. 300 third and fourth year students walked a 20 km sponsor hike and raised no less than € 3,000.- an emergency fund.

The Foundation HMSM supports the Hotel Management School Maastricht in its mission to provide the national and international hospitality industry with qualified and passionate professionals who develop and innovate the industry. All donations are aimed at supporting this objective. We focus on making the educational program accessible to young talent from all over the world.
