What can you expect?

Living is learning

Living is learning here at Hotel Management School Maastricht. We believe that living with others and dealing with challenges allows you to develop skills and abilities for the rest of your career. Balancing school, studying, social life, and perhaps a job on the side requires strong time management and planning skills.

Living together also means to help and care for each other. You will share a unique experience together. Here, you will make friendships for the rest of your life.

The Student Residence

The Student Residence is the name of our student housing complex. It consists of three high-quality sustainable buildings and offers space to our 390 first year students. The Student Residence is centrally located on campus and less than a 3 minute walk to the education building.

In the Student Residence you will live in a unit with 12-14 fellow students. You have a shared common room with a kitchen, dining area and living room space with seating and tv. Of course there is also Wi-Fi.

Your student room

You will live in a private room with your own bathroom. The rooms (16 m2) are furnished with a bed, desk, chair and wardrobe space. Your bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower. You only have to do the fun part, customize it with your personal decorations!

Services and security

Besides students rooms there are other services to be found in the Student Residence. There is a gym, a laundry service, postal and package service and a shared hang-out spot. Of course, the Student Residence is well protected. In the main building you can find the reception and there is always an employee available if you have questions or need help.

Where is the Student Residence?

The Student Residence is located right on our campus, only a 3 minute walk from the education building. Our campus is on the east of Maastricht, situated in a beautiful park. It's only a 15 minute bike or bus ride into the city centre!

Can I live in the Student Residence after the first year?

The student housing is for first year students only. For the next years you will need to find your own housing in Maastricht. Don't worry too much about this. By the end of the first year, you will know the city, and you will have friends and connections here. There are always students in higher years graduating, on internships or on exchange who leave their student rooms.
