On March 15, Marlene van Heel-Bradbury, Martine Prins and Hilde Hanegreefs from our Global Minds @ Work research center attended the Nuffic symposium "Internationalization in Practice" at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
It was an inspiring day with workshops focusing mainly on teacher competencies needed to enable internationalisation within Dutch HBO and MBO study programmes, because ‘without competent teachers, no competent student’. Marlene, Martine and Hilde provided an interactive workshop in which participants learned more about assessing reflection in written assignments on intercultural experiences. During this workshop, they shared knowledge based on research and practical experiences with writing blogs at the Hotel Management School Maastricht.
It proved to be an enriching and inspiring Symposium in which there was plenty of opportunity to exchange ideas with the large delegation of MBO staff, researchers, HBO representatives and representatives from the professional field, both inside and outside of the workshops. If you are interested in the topic, it might be useful to read the report (in Dutch) published by Nuffic.
