At Hotel Management School Maastricht, innovation meets tradition in the Research Centre Future of Food. Together with our partners ETT and Tenuta Fanti from Montalcino, Tuscany, we created an immersive wine tasting that transported students, colleagues, and partners straight into the heart of a Tuscan vineyard. Using state-of-the-art immersive technology in our Food Experience Lab, participants explored the story behind Tenuta Fanti’s winemaking, discovered the grape varieties cultivated on their estate, and experienced the unique terroir that shapes their renowned wines—all while tasting them on site in Maastricht.
This collaboration showcases how we combine sensory experiences with cutting-edge technology to bring global food and wine cultures to life. By blending education, gastronomy, and innovation, the Research Centre Future of Food continues to pioneer new ways of learning, connecting, and experiencing the world of food.

The study explores how internship supervisors assess reflective blogs written by students during their intercultural internships abroad.
