About the Teaching Hotel

It's all about hospitality at the Hotel Management School Maastricht.  We train young people to become qualified and passionate professionals. This takes place at our own Teaching Hotel, located on the beautiful campus on the Geul and Maas Estate. You can come over for a wholesome lunch, a gourmet dinner or come for an overnight stay. Enthusiastic first-year students ensure that you are well looked after, the students are always under the supervision of our experienced hospitality teachers.

Unique training environment

Teaching Hotel Château Bethlehem in Maastricht offers guests an exceptional and inspiring place to stay. However, it functions as much more than this. The hotel is a practical training environment for our first-year students of the hotel school. Where teachers monitor the students while learning the basics of the hotel industry. 

Castle history

The Château Bethlehem becoming the Teaching Hotel that it is today, is a true piece of local history. The castle has had many different owners and has had various different functions through the ages. Learn more about this riveting story, and read the history of the castle.

Meet our designers

In 2010 Château Bethlehem was completely renovated into a fully-fledged hotel with hotel rooms, a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and public areas. The rooms in the Teaching Hotel are furnished by established and starting Dutch designers. The acclaimed Henk Vos was the art director of the project. Each of the 26 rooms is different and has its own story.
