Before the Summer, HMSM research centres Global Minds @ Work and Future of Food were audited. We are happy to share that both have passed all four quality standards satisfactorily. Global Minds @ Work have received the qualification ‘Excellent’ for their contribution to the development of professional practice and society at large, of education, and of the research domain.
The research centres Global Minds @ Work and Future of Food – together with PROCODIS (Professional Communication in a Digitalizing Society) - were audited by an independent external panel, in accordance with the guidelines of the governmental BKO Protocol. The panel was chaired by Dr Erwin Losekoot, Professor of Hospitality Studies at NHL Stenden. The panel has now delivered their final assessment report. All three research centres have passed all four quality standards satisfactorily. Global Minds @ Work has received the qualification ‘Excellent’ for their contribution to the development of professional practice and society at large, of education, and of the research domain.
The panel has provided very useful recommendations for further development, among which more collaboration across disciplines, and more sustainable connections with the industry. Some of this advice has already been implemented. There are concrete plans for a Living Lab and from now on the three research centres will form a cluster with Data Driven Hospitality (Martijn Zoet) and Sustainable International Business (Nikos Kalogeras): the cluster Research Centres of the Maastricht Economic Domain.
Professors Danny Han and Ankie Hoefnagels would like to thank all involved. First of all the lecturer -researchers: Joris Boonen, Isabelle Grosch, Hilde Hanegreefs, Marlene Bradbury, Tom Kuypers, Martine Prins, Malu Boerwinkel, Silvia Abreu, Maud Meyers. Without them, this could not have been achieved. Lyvie Schoenmaeckers for her unwavering organisation talent. Bas Vogelsangs for his explicit support to our research. And last but not least the HMSM team leaders for enabling us to embed our research and expertise in education.
