Restaurateur Fernand Rosier (known for Le Fernand) opened his second Maastricht venture on Sint Pietersstraat. South European in spirit, with a refined dining room and a looser bar à partager side. Tous's menu spans Mediterranean classics from Spain, Italy and France: from charcuterie carved à la minute to top-quality fish and cheese. The bar has an extensive wine list and a DJ spinning vinyl. Perfect for both lunch and a late evening out.
In Wyck, FIGO opened as an Italian restaurant inspired by the kitchens of Rome and Milan, notably without pizza. Dishes follow the traditional Italian sequence of antipasti, primi, secondi and dolce. The interior mixes Italian seventies design with contemporary touches, and one of the owners describes the vibe as "intimate, funky and sexy."
The name refers to its two owners: chef Wouter Vroonen and hostess and sommelier alumna Ylja Berends [F 2020]. Described as arguably the hottest new address in Maastricht right now, an accessible fine dining restaurant and wine bar that works for every occasion. WY. opened October 2024 and already generating serious buzz.
Two alumni Lisa van Vulpen [F 2023] and Ferry Gorren [F 2023] opened this intimate carte blanche restaurant Enigma with just 22 covers and an open kitchen. Guests choose only the number of courses, everything else is a surprise. Van Vulpen combines a classical French base with bold acidity, texture and influences from other cuisines.
