Career opportunities hotel management
With a hotel management diploma in your pocket you can look forward to challenging (inter)national jobs. Our students are known as service- and customer-oriented, socially skilled and hard-working. This appeals to many employers. It often happens that a trainee is offered a contract after his management internship.
As a graduate you are likely to be employed as a starter. For instance as assistant general manager, junior project manager or assistant Food & Beverage manager. In the end, many of our students end up in managerial positions. Would you rather start your own business? Do you prefer to continue studying? The choice is yours. There are several possibilities!
Study programme
During your bachelor hotel management you will be taught two foreign languages. You will follow general subjects such as marketing, business administration, management & organisation, Human Resource management and financial management. The curriculum also includes specific catering related courses such as oenology, Food & Beverage management and Rooms Division management.
Our 4-year bachelor hotel management combines theory with practical experience. In this way you can immediately practise what you learn. For example while organising an event together with your classmates, operating the Teaching Hotel, interning at an international 4 or 5 star hotel or solving a realistic business case.
Internationalisation
Hotel Management School Maastricht has got many international students from different cultures. You are required to do your second-year 5 months internship abroad. You can do your final managerial internship wherever you like. Our alumni network is spread worldwide. Finally, we have partnerships with universities within and outside Europe for minors and exchange programmes.
