Bachelor programme receives Quality Seal Keuzegids 2025

The Keuzegids HBO 2025 was published on the 7th of November. In this guide, Hotel Management School Maastricht’s bachelor programme of Hotel Management achieved a score of 76/100 and was therefore awarded the quality seal of Top Rated Programme.

Relevance of our curriculum

One highlighted aspect of our curriculum is the specialization in the third year, where students choose one of the three tracks: hotel management, foodservice or horizons in hospitality, and the tailor-fit minors such as Haute Hospitality or Gastronomic Experiences within these tracks. These specializations offer the opportunity for students to distinguish themselves from others in the hospitality industry.

Another aspect of the programme mentioned by Keuzegids is our 'Living is Learning' approach, where our first-year students live on campus in the Student Residence.

We score above average on preparation for career, students obtaining a diploma after 5 years and student progression to year 2. Our scores for the content of the study programme, assessment of teachers, testing and exams, and atmosphere are average to the national level of other hotel management programmes.

Keuzegids is an independent consumer guide that assesses and compares the quality of all study programmes in the Netherlands. The scores are, among other research, mainly based on the NSE (National Student Survey), market research by ROA and data provided by the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences.
