Together we give young talent a chance!
Foundation HMSM wants to offer ambitious young people with a passion and talent for hospitality the chance to study and develop their talents at Hotel Management School Maastricht. It is an opportunity many of us have had. It is an opportunity we believe anyone with the right motivation should be able to seize.
That is why we offer scholarships to students through Foundation HMSM. With donations we can take down barriers for talented students and support development, diversity and internationalization at HMSM. The different funds to donate to can be found below.
Every student’s journey is unique, but anyone with the right ambition should have the chance to access our education. Through different funds we give financial support to students at every stage of their academic journey to help them succeed and grow.
First-Generation Fund
This fund supports students who are the first in their family to attend higher education and for whom (financial) support isn't a given. This fund helps them make a strong start in their first year at HMSM. With this fund we encourage students with talent and ambition, from different backgrounds and nationalities, to apply for our bachelor Hotel Management by offering a scholarship that compensates the extra costs in the first year.

The Extra Mile Fund
The Extra Mile Fund supports a group of students to attend and organize activities that go beyond the classroom. These extra-curricular activities empower groups of students to build their leadership skills, make new connections, and develop themselves personally. By funding essential costs, it enables more inclusive initiatives, offering all students the chance to unfold their potential, gain life skills, and expand their network.

With this fund we empower HMSM students to innovate and bring their business ideas to life with grants, guidance, and connections. Each year, applicants pitch their business concepts in a competition judged by experts. Through funding, mentorship, and our strong network, we support these students and graduates to take their first steps as entrepreneurs.

Global Talent Fund
An international mix of students is essential to optimally prepare all students for a future in the ever-changing and dynamic hospitality industry. However, for some foreign students the study costs are an insurmountable barrier. Yet, we believe a lack of funds should not hold them back from realizing their ambition to work in the hospitality business. For these students we offer scholarships with the help of our donors.
