Living on campus

During your first year at the hotel school in Maastricht, you will live on campus in the Student Residence. It is very pleasant to live here and it is good for your social and practical skills. You will have a private furnished room with bathroom and a common living room with kitchen. Within a few minutes walk you will find the educational building where you can also go for lunch and dinner in student restaurant Refresh.

Practical experience

Besides acquiring knowledge during the theoretical classes, you will already gain a lot of practical experience during your first year. You will be working in our own Teaching Hotel and accompanying student restaurant Refresh. Within these unique learning environments, you will learn how to provide and care for real guests.

In Refresh, you will find that real lounge feeling; it is a place to eat, study and relax. Close to the bar, you will find a daily supply of fresh fruit to take away for free – a welcome addition to your daily vitamin intake. Remember to bring your own cup, however, as Hotel Management School Maastricht does not offer any disposable cups for coffee, tea or water. That way, we produce less waste and contribute to a sustainable future.

Languages

Being able to master multiple foreign languages is essential within the hotel industry. Besides English you will be studying a second foreign language. You are able to choose from French, German or Spanish. Do you wish to learn more about all the courses you will follow and when you will be following an internship? Read more in the study programme.

Degree and title

If you successfully finish your bachelor Hotel Management study, you will receive your degree (referred to as ‘Funda’ at our hotel school). With the Funda you will also receive the internationally acknowledged title: Bachelor of Arts (BA).
